This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. For clients engaged under a project Proposal or service agreement, consent to the collection of operational data from your installed Systems is incorporated into those agreements, which include these Terms & Conditions. For website visitors, your use of our sites is subject to the terms below.
We may ask you to provide personal information when you visit our sites, use our products, register for a programme or service, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, or complete a form. We may ask for your name or position, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment and billing information, and other personal information as appropriate. We may also request information about the Wenner products you use or third-party products connected to your Wenner system, such as model or serial numbers. In the case of a technical issue, we may collect information relating to a support or service incident.
Where you have engaged Wenner for remote management, monitoring, or care plan services — or as part of standard post-installation support — we collect operational and diagnostic data from the technology Systems installed at your property. This collection is authorised by your acceptance of Wenner’s Terms & Conditions, as applied to your Sales Proposal and/or any applicable service agreement, and is necessary for us to deliver proactive maintenance and support.
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve our products and services; deliver remote management and monitoring services where engaged; respond to enquiries, service requests, and support incidents; send administrative and technical messages; comply with legal obligations; protect the security of our systems and your property systems; and send commercial electronic messages where you have provided consent in accordance with applicable law.
Wenner may share personal information among O.R. Wenner Ltd., Wenner Security Inc., and Intuitiv Spaces Inc. only for purposes consistent with this policy. We share information with trusted third parties who assist us in delivering our services, subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Policy. Some service providers may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States, and your personal information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We require all third-party processors to provide appropriate safeguards. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wenner, our clients, or others.
We use industry-standard encryption and security technologies to protect your personal information in transit and at rest. Notwithstanding our efforts, no security controls are 100% effective. In the event of a breach, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals and report to applicable regulators in accordance with Canadian Federal and BC privacy law.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to provide ongoing services, and to comply with legal obligations. Operational and diagnostic data collected through remote management services is retained for the duration of your service agreement and for up to 12 months following termination. Upon request, we will delete your personal information subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
As a visitor or client, you are entitled to: access and review the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements; withdraw consent for non-essential electronic communications at any time by contacting us at privacy@wenner.ca, and opt out of non-essential and commercial electronic communications. Where we send commercial electronic messages, we do so in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
